Spring
Spring in Tuscany is the dream season for culture. From April to June, temperatures from 16°C to 24°C, gardens in full renaissance, still-manageable crowds in big cities (Florence, Siena). May and June offer the best conditions to combine museums (Uffizi, Accademia, Bargello), perched villages (San Gimignano, Pienza, Montepulciano), and countryside. Spring festivals (Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Anteprime di Toscana). Rivage villas offer their best rates.
Summer
Summer in Tuscany is festive but saturated. July-August demand strategy: morning visits (8-11am) in Florence and Siena, afternoons by villa pools, outdoor dinners. Ferragosto (August 15) closes part of the museums and restaurants. For summer travellers, favour perched villages and countryside over big cities.
Autumn
Autumn anoints Tuscany as a major cultural destination. September offers the perfect equation (24°C, thinning crowds, harvests), October extends with autumnal colours and golden light. Ideal season to combine Renaissance, vineyards, gastronomy. Rivage villas with terraces offer an exceptional setting.
Winter
Winter in Tuscany is a connoisseur's season. Florence and Siena without crowds — Uffizi accessible without queues, starred dinners available, magical Christmas markets. Viareggio carnival in February. Gastronomy at peak (white truffle, game, ceps). Rivage villas with fireplaces offer a unique intimacy.
