Spring
Spring at Bordeaux is a privileged season to combine golf and oenology. From April to June, Golf du Médoc regains its fast greens, temperatures are ideal (15-22°C), and vineyards unfurl in vegetal explosion. April coincides with Primeurs Week — a rare combination of quality golf and professional tastings. May and June offer the perfect equation: impeccable courses, château gardens in bloom, seasonal gastronomy. Rivage villas in the vineyard offer their best year-round rates.
Summer
Summer at Bordeaux is festive but demands strategy for golf. From July to August, temperatures can climb to 35-38°C — favour morning tee-times (before 11am). Many châteaux partially close in August, but golf courses stay open. Off-water compensation is exceptional: starred restaurants, wine bars, air-conditioned cellar coolness. Rivage villas with pools offer essential comfort for this season.
Autumn
Autumn anoints Bordeaux as one of the world's most beautiful destinations to combine golf and harvest. From September to October, conditions align: mild temperatures (17-22°C), courses in autumnal splendour, harvests in full activity, golden light. September offers the perfect equation (Merlot in progress), October extends with Cabernet Sauvignon and autumnal colours. Rivage villas in the Médoc, Saint-Émilion or Graves offer an unmatched setting for this season.
Winter
Winter at Bordeaux isn't the golf season: frequent rain, 7-8°C, short days. Many courses reduce activity. It is, however, a season for Bordeaux town (Christmas markets, starred restaurants, private cellar tastings), for South-West black truffle, and wines in barrel. Rivage villas with fireplaces offer a unique intimacy.
