Spring
Spring at Mykonos opens the kite season with accessible conditions. May and June offer 15-20 knot winds, water rising above 18°C, absent crowds. Ideal to start or refine technique before the meltemi arrives at full force. Rivage villas offer their best rates.
Summer
Summer is the royal kite season at Mykonos. From June to September, meltemi blows steadily at 20-35 knots from the north, creating among the Mediterranean's best conditions. Korfos is the reference spot (flat water), Ftelia offers waves. The international kite-resort atmosphere is unique. Book lessons several weeks ahead.
Autumn
Autumn anoints Mykonos as the ideal window to combine kite and comfort. September and October offer easing meltemi (15-25 knots), still-warm water (22-24°C), thinning crowds. Perfect season for intermediates wanting to avoid summer frenzy.
Winter
Winter at Mykonos isn't the kite season. For a visit, enjoy the island off-tourism: restaurants for locals, authentic Cycladic landscapes.
