Spring
Spring at Mykonos is an underrated diving season. From April to June, water rises gradually (17°C to 22°C), visibility is exceptional (25-30 m, one of the year's best), and crowds are absent. The ideal season for the most discreet sites, caves, accessible wrecks. 5 mm wetsuit in April, 3 mm in June. Rivage villas offer their best rates.
Summer
Summer at Mykonos is the diving high season. From June to August, water reaches 23-25°C, fauna in full activity (groupers, barracudas, sea bream), centres run at full capacity. Booking essential several weeks ahead. For intermediates, access to technical sites (wrecks, deep caves) after proper briefing.
Autumn
Autumn anoints Mykonos as one of the best Mediterranean diving windows. September and October offer still-warm water (22-24°C), excellent visibility, thinning crowds, easing prices. Perfect season to combine diving and Cycladic art de vivre.
Winter
Winter at Mykonos isn't the diving season. For a visit, discover the island in its most authentic version.
