Seasonal pivot. 1.5–2.5 m swells, water at 13°C. The Cap sandbars regain their tempo, near-empty lineups, returning light.
April+
Spring settles. 1.2–2 m swells, water at 14–15°C. Le Grand Crohot and Le Truc Vert offer technical sessions. Morning offshore winds, anecdotal crowds.
May+
Pivot month. Clean 1–1.5 m swells, water at 16–17°C. The peninsula regains its rhythm, terraces opening, tchanquée cabin markets. 3/2 mm.
June+
Excellent compromise. Consistent 0.8–1.4 m swells, water at 18–19°C, light crowds before peak season. Dawn sessions recommended.
July+
Summer waves (0.7–1.2 m), water at 21°C. The peninsula turns festive but keeps its elegance. Sessions early morning before crowds.
August+
Tourist peak. Small waves, water at 22°C. For intermediates, dawn sessions at Le Grand Crohot or detours to the Pilat dune to scope conditions.
September+
The crown jewel. Autumn swells (1.5–2.5 m), water at 20°C, thinning crowds from early September. Steady offshore winds, golden light. Cap Ferret regains its intimate tempo.
October+
Premium conditions. Powerful 1.8–3 m swells, water at 17–18°C, near-empty beaches. Le Grand Crohot and Le Truc Vert deliver reference sessions. Exceptional light.
November+
Mature autumn. 2–3 m swells, water at 15°C. The point enters its winter tempo, intimate atmosphere, local restaurants focusing on regulars.
December+
Storms return. 3–4.5 m swells, water at 13°C, conditions often beyond intermediate. A few technical low-tide windows.
